As a trained, skilled artisan she would have the opportunity to earn a dignified wage, take pride in her work, be part of community, and be able to dream about a bright future. With this vision in mind, Aasha Collective was born aiming to transform the lives of these overcomers through the creation of premium, handcrafted products that would be sold worldwide. The name 'Aasha,' meaning 'hope' in Nepali, encapsulates our mission to bring hope and dignity to the lives of these women and other women around the world.

From the very beginning, we said that Aasha Collective is not a business; it is a movement dedicated to social change. We established our employment center in the heart of Nepal, providing a safe and supportive environment where women could learn and refine their skills as seamstresses and handicraft artisans.
